TERMS & CONDITIONS
The price includes:
- Transport: Airport collection upon arrival / 2 domestic flights (economy class) / 3 high-speed train journeys (first class) / Private minibus with chauffeur / Public transport in city centre
- Accommodation: 13 nights in 4-star hotels or high-quality guest houses
- Meals: 13 breakfasts / 9 lunches / 6 dinners (Each lunch & dinner includes free flow tea, a soft drink or local beer per person)
- All admission fees to sites mentioned in Culinary Tour of China 2019 itinerary
- Cost of all the activities mentioned in Culinary Tour of China 2019 itinerary
- Interpretation and guide services throughout the journey
- A personalized gift
The price does not include:
- International flight (and domestic flight if necessary) arriving in Beijing
- International flight (and domestic flight if necessary) leaving from Shanghai
- Chinese tourist visa fee (required by most foreign nationals)
- Travel & health insurance
- Expenses of a personal nature
- Transport to airport at the end of the tour (can be arranged with a surcharge)
A deposit of USD 500.00 per person is required to secure your reservation. Full payments must be made 60 days prior to tour start date. We cannot guarantee your place if payment is not received at least 60 days in advance of the tour.
In the case of trip cancellation, please refer to the schedule below:
Cancellation received in writing 60 days or more prior to trip departure – Full Refund.
Cancellations received in writing between 59 days and 26 days prior to commencement of the tour will be charged a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations received in writing 25 days of less prior to departure will not receive any refund.
No refund will be made if clients voluntarily leave a trip for any reason after the trip has begun.
Refunds will be at the discretion of TwinkleBridge Ltd. if clients are involuntarily forced to leave a trip for any reason.
Please note: Refunds are only made to the account through which the deposit/booking was received. Any refunds made are minus bank/transaction charges.
TwinkleBridge Ltd. reserves the right to cancel the tour if the minimum number of 3 (three) fully paid customers has not been reached. TwinkleBridge Ltd. reserves the right to cancel the tour prior to departure due to reasons outside of our control (i.e. natural disasters or political instability). In such a case, TwinkleBridge Ltd. will make a full refund.
Change of program
We don’t envisage any changes to the advertised programme. However, itinerary changes may be necessary as a result of unforeseen circumstances, operational concerns, or concerns for your health, safety, enjoyment or comfort. Any changes are at the discretion of TwinkleBridge Ltd. TwinkleBridge Ltd. will not be liable for any indirect and or consequential losses associated with any changes to a booking or itinerary.
Passports & Visas
It is your sole responsibility to obtain and have available when necessary the appropriate valid travel documents. A Chinese tourist visa (L) is required by most foreign nationals. The application form requires details of your travel itinerary, airline tickets and hotel bookings. We are happy to provide an itinerary and hotel bookings of your trip ahead of time if necessary.
The luggage limit is 20 kg per person for economy-class flights inside China. Baggage and personal effects are at the owner’s risk throughout the travel program, and TwinkleBridge Ltd. assumes no liability for lost or damaged baggage. Please check with your international carrier for other baggage restrictions and fees applicable to your international flights.
Health & Safety
It’s recommended that you visit your physician for a pre-trip check-up. All travellers should bring a sufficient supply of any necessary prescription medicines, in their original containers and with clear labels; refills can be difficult to obtain, or even unavailable in the areas we visit. We request guests with severe allergies to consult their physicians prior to traveling and to bring all necessary medicines with them. Guests should inform TwinkleBridge Ltd. ahead of time of specific allergies to peanuts, seafood, etc. so that we can plan accordingly.
If you decide to participate in any activities outside of our planned itinerary or which carry inherent risk of serious illness, injury or death then you fully understand and acknowledge that you take complete responsibility for your own health and safety and agree to assume all risks of injury, illness or death, whether foreseen or unforeseen, that may befall you as a result of participating in such activities and agree to release TwinkleBridge Ltd. and its affiliates, their agents, employees and representatives from any liability whatsoever related thereto.
Further, as consideration for being permitted to participate in the tour you release TwinkleBridge Ltd., whether known or unknown, from, and agree not to sue or make claim against TwinkleBridge Ltd. for, property damage, cancellation of the tour for any reason, illness, negligent rescue operations or procedures, personal injury, or death arising out of your participation in the tour, and any activity related thereto, including transportation to and from the site/location of the tour, regardless of whether such property damage, illness, personal injury, or death results from the negligence of TwinkleBridge Ltd. (but not its reckless, wilful, or fraudulent conduct), and/or from any defect in equipment. You further agree to indemnify and hold TwinkleBridge Ltd. harmless with respect to any claim made against TwinkleBridge Ltd. by anyone else which (a) related to your participation, or (b) which would be subject to the above release and covenant not to sue if you had made the claim directly yourself.
All guests traveling with TwinkleBridge Ltd. are required to provide a copy of their medical/health insurance prior to trip departure. Please scan and email the copy to TwinkleBridge Ltd.
More comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage of lost luggage and trip cancellation, is optional though highly encouraged.
Fitness & Behaviour
To enjoy the tour as intended, a minimum level of fitness is required. TwinkleBridge Ltd. will require prior notice if any participant has any physical or other condition or disability that would prevent them from participating in active elements of the tour and/or could create a hazard to him or herself or to other members of the group.
TwinkleBridge Ltd. reserves the right to decline acceptance of anyone whom it considers unsuitable due to fitness level. TwinkleBridge Ltd. also reserves the right to remove from the trip, at the participant’s own expense, anyone whose physical condition or conduct negatively impacts the enjoyment of the other guests or disrupts the tour.
All participants on the tour are expected to obey local laws and regulations and any failure to do so will relieve TwinkleBridge Ltd. of all obligations that it may otherwise have under the Contract.
These terms and conditions of acceptance by the Client shall constitute the entire agreement between the Client and TwinkleBridge Ltd. in relation to the relevant booking, and shall exclude all other terms and conditions (except for the relevant suppliers’ conditions and any applicable international conventions) and shall supersede all prior or contemporaneous communication or information provided.
The Contract (incorporating these Booking Conditions) and all matters arising from it, is subject to English Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
